A galaxy of Mario Galaxy videos

GameTrailers unleashed the Super Mario Galaxy video floodgates today. Want to see the opening of the game? It's above. Want to see footage with the controller in it? It's after the break. Want to see general gameplay? You'll get plenty of that.

The videos should definitely give people a pretty solid idea of what Super Mario Galaxy will be all about, especially those that haven't read our original impressions from E3. Those who felt confined by Super Mario Sunshine and Delfino Island, Galaxy is looking to make you completely forget all about it.

This looks good. Unfortunately as it seems this and Smash will probably be the last really good titles for a long time. I have Resident Evil, Paper Mario, and Excite Truck, and other than those two games I just mentioned and Metroid Prime 3 I don't see much steam in the Wii. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I can see why this was the true successor to Mario64. Think Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World, Mario64 and New Super Mario Bros. There were many different levels. There different themes for different levels (water, desert, ice, etc). Mario Sunshine was mostly water levels and strayed from the original style. Mario Galaxy seems to go back to that style and will be the true successor to Mario64.

I don't know if I am more excited for this or brawl...one has flying ships and the other flying wario propelled from farting.

I have never seen a game environment that looks so fun to play around in. I love how colorful it is.

Not giving Zack & Wiki a chance is like stomping on baby puppies. You don't want to be like Shagi, do you? I'm also surprised that you are willing to give Dragon Quest Swords a chance but not games like Ghost Squad of Trauma Center. Swords is basically an on-rails shooter with a sword in place of a gun.

Oh, and Oboro Muramasa Youtoden? Wiki it. It's by the makers of Odin Sphere. Wii-exclusive ninja brawler with the same hand-drawn animation style as Odin Sphere. Look it up.

Nah, just a wide one. I've bought and played Metroid Prime 3, Fire Emblem: PoR, Sonic (the good ones), Advance Wars, Company of Heroes, Command & Conquer 3 (and series), Civilizations 4, Resident Evil 4, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros., Call of Duty, even Halo.

Mario is just a personal favorite of mine that's all.

While this game looks good for a Wii title, especially the use of color, this looks like CRAP next to RaC.

And in my opinion, RaC will be more fun to play. The demo from Gamestop is freakin sweet.

I bet that you dont even was a gamer when the NES was launched, and thats why you dont know how a Mario game can be so fucking fun. I chose anyday to play Mario Bros. 3 on my NES, than play the monotone and extremely easy Ratchet and Clank games on the PS2, and Im sure that Mario Galaxy is going to be a better game than Ratchet.

You can't say "next gen" anymore. We are in the 7th generation. All 7th gen consoles are out. No 8th gen consoles are out. You especially can't say "looks next-gen" when it's strictly a historical term. If you want to be accurate in your pathetic trolling, say "It looks like a 6th generation game!" Here you can even use "last gen" or "6th gen" if you want. There you go. Carry on with your trolling.

The mage was my most hated enemy in Super Mario World. He teleported right in front of you, turned blocks into Koopas, AND shot projectiles at you! He was harder to beat than most of the bosses.

Seriously, I am amazed at what a high poly count there is. The water effects in the first video are amazing, and, if Mario wasn't a Nintendo IP, I would swear that this could not possibly be a Wii game. Also, the variety looks excellent. A definite buy for me.

Though, it seems that the last quarter of the third video really shows that hereally is Mr. Gay!
