Capcom's massively popular (in Japan, at least) Monster Hunter series is heading to the Nintendo Wii as Monster Hunter 3. According to IGN, the game was originally announced for PlayStation 3, which makes us question the fate of that version.Monster Hunter Portable 2nd for PSP sold an impressive 700,000 in its first week of sales. We can only imagine the possible sales figures for this title. No release date has been given.

I remember when 360 fans were so happy when they finally got Katamari. Then the original maker makes a new game for Sony so 360 fan don't feel special. Then they thought they were getting FFXIII... NAH!! LMAO
and i haven't liked a ff since 9, so i really don't care about 13
As for Sony, as long as 360 keeps on getting those 'exclusives' like Assassin's Creed and Devil May Cry, I'm not complaining.
do your homework before picking titles ;)

Jesus, if you're going to troll and bait, the least you could do is know about what you're insulting. How am I supposed to take you seriously and get all indignant if you don't put in the effort to earn it?

Anyways, line fixed.
It's not mini game fest and its Prior Sony system only franchise. It was supposed to be PS3 before now, and this is for Wii.
This is something that will crush any real momentum that Sony had with PS3 and price cuts/new bundles. Nintendo is so going to own Japan after this it won't be funny Wii is going to now have like 95% market share of next gen consoles after this releases.

Wii is for when I have colleagues and friends over (with of course my soon be SMBBrawl and M&S Olympics). While my PS3 is for my serious and loner days playing the MGS4, FFXII, and GTPrologue
Gamespot even gave Monster Hunter Freedom 2 a 5.0. It's one of the funnest games I've played on any system in a while. Definitely deserves better than a 5.0. Multiplayer is such a blast. Though it might be a pain on Wii with the friend codes.

Isn't this the first third party online game announced for the Wii?

Whenever i snuck a glimpse over their shoulder it was 50% video and 50% monster hunter. Now its 90% FF.
This'll be a big boost for the Wii in japan.. dunno about the rest of the world.

The game is going to sell like crazy. The Japanese love their Monster Hunter.
Also the bad thing about this is there will be no online play. Seeing as not many Wii games use that feature. Also I think in time this will also come out on the PS3 and 360.

I wonder how the controls will be, playing it on my PSP was a pain. But worth it of course. I hope there's not a lot of swinging, I'm too lazy for that. I rather spend money on Brawl.
Sony didn't "Take" Final Fantasy or Metal Gear. The Company's making the games decided to go to a cheaper production meathod. The Sony PS1 had Cheap to Produce CD's instead of those very costly Cartages. So the Developers went to where it was cheaper to produce.
Just like they are doing now. Capcom wants cheaper production and to be able to make big money(so do all company's). Making software on the Wii is alot cheaper then on the 360 or PS3, And Since the Wii has the biggest Marketshare in Japan they will get big profits.
The finance issue may be true for Monster Hunter going to Wii, but it was not true about FF and MGS going from cartridge to CD especially back at that time when PS1 was released.
Cartridges will always be cheaper to produce than CD. That's why we see low-budget companies producing cartridge systems for those "claw vending games" all over Tokyo.
