Mario brings his sexy back at 'Galaxy' launch party
"That's a real nice ass," blurted the DJ as Mario jiggled his backside in front of a Super Mario Galaxy backdrop. The scene was something out of "Mario's Bar Mitzvah," CAG's Wombat observed inside a crowded lot adjacent to New York's Nintendo World Store where an awkward clash of tweens, performing impromptu dance routines to yesterday's Top 40, and bundled-up twenty-somethings merged in the dwindling hours of a chilly Sunday night. Despite a Velcro wall and bungee run, some laser lights, and an abundance of Mario-equipped Wii kiosks, the Galaxy launch party never escalated into the full-on carnival that Nintendo had envisioned -- next time, don't forget the funnel cake.
The ringleader was too disoriented to command the crowd, perhaps punchy (it gets hot in those suits) as he latched on to an attractive mom. Urged by the DJ to bring his sexy back, we couldn't fault Mario for his diverted interest. But is it really cougar hunting season already?

I'm trying to get leverage to go to the inevitable Brawl launch event, since its technically a Sunday, so it would be Saturday night and Sunday morning, and i could be back home by an acceptable time.

Yeah, what the hell?! They said that tomorrow is the release date and today is just the day that the game is being shipped. If that's the case, then how the hell did all of the Best Buy's get all those copies they were selling early?
I heard that it was a similar situation with MP3's release date only being considered a "shipping date", and that many stores didn't get the game for a week or more. So, is this a problem with Nintendo not understanding the meaning of a release date, or does the problem lie with Gamestop?
Either way, I better not have to wait a week to get this game.

I can imagine it now. Star Fox themed Sci-Fi world. F-Zero and Mario Kart bumper cars. Mario and enemy mascots running around. DS and Wii stations all around. Fire Emblem fantasy, Advance/Batallion Wars military themed world, Yoshi's Island, Luigi's Mansion, Crazy Japan Land! Training retirement center, and family vacation area.

It sucks that those people could buy the game there at midnight but everyone else has to wait for tomorrow! What type of half-ass midnight launch is that??? 1 damn store! Nintendo could have shipped the game last week and let other retailers have a midnight launch as well or at least sold the game today. That's Nintendo for you. Always doing things half-assed!

Galaxy is better than Sun shine but still not a real 3D power up based 3D action adventure game that Mario should be.
Really waiting to see a Better version of the N64 game, it was half right it needs bigger levels and better power ups the time limited power ups sucked IMO, I want a full power up based mario adventure not a off the wall crack smoking action game.
